The Donna Review
This is the second Nero D’Avola I have had and both recently. A character of Sicily/Italy. This has a smooth, somewhat smoky taste and slides down rather nicely. It is a deep rich colour in the glass and thick. Yet it tastes very light. You can imagine drinking this outside in Italy on a warm summer evening. This is quite a spiritual kind of wine. I wonder what this would be like if it was corked

Man with no Palate Review
After Tempranillo, Nero D’Avola is possibly my second favourite variety. There is something about Sicilian wines and this is an absolute classic example, they just seem to transport you. This may sound gross but it’s like you can taste the earth that the vine was growing in. The fruity flavours have a lovely explosion of flavour. For under $10 this is an early contender for the Christmas list.

Balliamo Nero D’Avola Sicilia 2019 Bottle Label Description
Just as a dancer steps off stage and leaves hints of wonder and mystery behind. This Italian Nero D’Avola shows brilliant ripe red cherry intensity with hints of lingering spice for a lasting impression.
