When I was 18 I had a glass of Riesling and said I would never drink ar Riesling again. But alas here it is on the dinner table and I really wasn’t looking forward to this wine. But it is a lovely colour in the glass so was feeling optimistic. But sadly I just don’t like Riesling wine and so for that I really can’t say anything good about this. But it does clear the palate! And why do they always come in such tall/skinny bottles?

Man with no Palate Review
I don’t think I have ever had a Riesling that I have like. And sadly this one continues in the same vain. I’m hoping one day someone will give me a Riesling that I enjoy drinking and then I will understand what all the fuss is about Riesling. Until then all Riesling remind me of Blue Nun from the 70’s they all taste the same and not particularly pleasant. It is a real shame because Hidden Ridge do some fantastic reds.

Hidden Ridge Riesling 2019 Bottle Label Description
Pale straw in colour with bright orange and lime blossom aromas, with a hint of musk and minerality on the nose.
A dry Riesling with complex ripe green, tree fruit notes and a long crips meyer lemon finish.
