I was a bit hesitant when buying this wine for two reasons. 1. the heavy reduction in price and secondly the vintage being 2019. This seems more Cabernet than Merlot, smoothness but with a very heavy oak taste. This would be a nice wine, without food in front of a wood fire.

Man with no Palate Review
What I like about this wine is it’s not at all vinegary, is reasonably smooth and has quite a rich and deep flavour. But there is something about it that is niggling me, it has an overly woody or earthy taste to it. I’m not surprised that this was reduced by over $6.

Vintage 2019: A warm, dry early season after good spring rains has resulted in excellent crops and strong varietal flavours. A blend of 75% Cabernet Saurivnon and 25% Merlot sourced from vineyards in Coldstream, Gruyere and Seville using handpicked grapes and crafted using traditional methods.
